For the purposes of being declared surplus to a secondary school, the following criteria shall be considered (i) the least number of years of experience of a teacher within the secondary school panel which shall be the length of time from the commencement of such teachers most recent employment in secondary schools/ workplaces the qualifications as registered on the teachers Certificate of Qualifications previous teaching experience in the available subject areas. In determining which of two or more teachers are to be declared surplus, the Board shall apply the criteria set out in (i), (ii) and (iii) in that order. In the event that two or more teachers are equal based on (i), (ii) and (iii) and neither volunteers to be declared surplus, the Board shall consider the relevant skills and competence of such teachers.
